Warm IV Labeling

Under the MM20 General Storage Ruling for Stability of Meds - THE OPERATING ROOM IS REQUIRED to indicate the expiration DATE ON THE I.V. BAGS once the liquid has been warmed in the warmers. This requirement exists because the warming of the I.V. bags negates and shortens the manufacturers original warranty period for the sterility of their product. Consequently, a new shortened expiration date needs to be legibly applied to the I.V. bag to satisfy JHACO guidelines. Hand written dates, with a magic marker, can and have recently caused hospitals to be scrutinized by JHACO for violating legibility requirements. Let S1Medical facilitate your labeling task to be 100% legible with JHACO inspections requirements.
